I finally found a nice cross stitch pattern to use for Portugal. I try and get a pretty pattern from all the places I visit, so that I have a record other than photos of my travels. Of course, I've only done my castle from Wales to date. Hehehe.

Anyway, this is the one that I got:



Isn't it pretty? Who knows when I'll work on it, but I'll get it done at some point.


I've also decided that I very much enjoy being single and no matter how much I want someone to cuddle with at night, I would eventually hate it and wouldn't be able to stay in anything resembling a relationship for long at all. I'm too selfish and I like being as selfish as I am with my time. I like that if I order Chinese, I can get exactly what I want, with no mushrooms if I want no mushrooms. I like that when I eat said Chinese food, I can eat 10 chicken balls if I want, and not have to worry that I only left two for the person eating after me. I like that I can watch Twister three times in one day and that I don't have to share my time with anyone if I don't want to.

It's like they say: bachelorhood is habit-forming. Even though I'm not a bachelor (bachelorette, I suppose?), I have the disease and very little in terms of desire to change it.

So there. Hah. I like being single and selfish. Maybe I'll make that my default icon. Hmm.
